BLOUNT COUNTY, AL (WBRC)- After 15 years of investigative work, the Blount County Sheriff's Office has arrested and charged a Hayden man with distributing drugs and illegally possessing multiple fire arms.

Jackie Wayne Williams, 62, has been charged with one count each of possession of a controlled substance, distribution of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

After raiding Williams' home Wednesday morning, authorities seized 14 firearms, four gun safes filled with pills, and also discovered 50 empty pill bottles. The drugs they seized included methadone, Xanax, Lortab, and heart medicine.

Blount County officials allege that Williams sold these drugs to kids and adults in the area. Williams is currently in custody at the Blount County Jail.
